Woody Smith has been research director with AspireUp since 2009 and brings 20 years of consulting experience using consumer insights and marketing research to inform marketing strategy. His specialties include quantitative marketing research, product/service development, pricing, predictive analytics, and brand assessments. Woody uses quantitative research techniques including perceptual mapping, conjoint techniques, MaxDiff, multi-dimensional scaling, multiple linear regression, and others.
Past clients have included Wells Fargo Bank, Patagonia, Merrill Lynch, Johnson Outdoors, GHX, Rust-Oleum, Coyote Logistics, Staples, The Teaching Company, ITW, 3M, Univar, Wausau Homes, and DePaul University.
Woody has been president of two consulting firms, Avenue ISR and The Intelligence Agency, and was previously category manager with Frontier Natural Brands.
Woody is also the author of numerous articles concerning marketing research, brand development and retail strategy. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from Williams College.
